From a young age, I was a dreamer and a dedicated dancer, spending countless hours perfecting my craft. My path took an unexpected turn when I broke my foot and my mentor left without a word or explanation. I was left feeling lost and abandoned. I learned to embrace new paths and opportunities, taking on various roles—from office reception to collaborating with finance departments. Along the way, I developed my skills in double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and payroll, all learned by hand. 

Driven by a passion for helping others, I initially pursued a nursing degree, but financial constraints guided me back to the business world. I found myself thriving in finance roles, from supporting a BC regulatory body to building my husband's electrical contracting company. Even while raising a family, I was dedicated to ensuring his business was profitable, discovering that finance and operations were not just skills, but true sources of joy and fulfillment.

The turning point came when a client serendipitously fell into my lap, leading me to the world of bookkeeping—a field I hadn't planned for but felt naturally drawn to. As word of mouth spread, more clients came my way, and I knew I had found my calling.

Over the past five years, my father has been my mentor, and his experience in IT, management, HR, teams, and development has profoundly shaped not only who I am as a person but also the way I operate as a business owner. His guiding motto, "the more you learn, the more you know, the more you learn there is to know," has become a way of life for me. Through his mentorship, I've learned that success isn't just about knowledge, it's about embracing the journey, no matter where it leads.

Stand Sure Solutions is more than a business; it’s a reflection of my personal journey and heritage. The name comes from the Anderson clan motto, "Stand Sure," symbolizing steadfastness, resilience, and determination—values that are deeply woven into every aspect of my work. Just like the steadfast oak tree that inspired my brand, I aim to provide unwavering support and stability to my clients, offering a safe, non-judgmental space where finances are managed with integrity, care, and expertise.

My experience, dedication, and belief in the power of resilience have fueled my success. Every day, I witness small miracles and find joy in the work I do, always learning and never afraid to explore all angles.
